GRAVE FLOWERS Part Ways With FIREBOX RECORDS
March 28, 2006Long-running Swedish "dark metal" band GRAVE FLOWERS have parted ways with Finland's Firebox Records. "There have been some changes inside the company and GRAVE FLOWERS did not fit into their new plans," the band write on their web site. "We would anyway like to thank Firebox for the time we cooperated."
GRAVE FLOWERS' upcoming third album will likely be released through the band's own Khaoz Star Records label.
GRAVE FLOWERS's sophomore CD, "Incarcerated Sorrows", was released in March 2005 via Firebox Records. Included on the 11-song CD was a cover version of COUNT RAVEN's "Leaving the Warzone", recorded as a tribute to the Swedish doom legends. Cover art was handled by Tuomo Lethonen, who had previously worked with SWALLOW THE SUN on their "The Morning Never Came" album.
